putting the vr 5l in a vs

hey im helping a mate put in a 5L vr motor into his vs as his 5L has shat its self. the vr 5L was an auto and we are bolting up his 5 spd to it. do the 5 spds have a spiggot bush behind the fly wheel and will the fly wheel bolt straight on to the crank in place of the flex plate? i dont wanna get half way and find we need some parts.....that sucks.

Hey mate, Im not 100% sure about the flywheel bolting onto the crank, but yes you do need a spigot bush. I did the same engine swap in a mates a year ago. they were about 20 bucks at supercheap. From memory the flywheel bolted straight up. We did need to chance the Starter motor, but I dont remember if it was because the auto one didnt fit, or that the old one was stuffed!
But thats All we had to do...
