Are Ecotec's from VS thru VX all the same?

What differences are there between ecotec's from the different models ? Will heads , cranks, cams , valves, blocks , manifolds from one model fit all models ? And if so, are there any power gains to be had by fitting parts from a later model onto my VS ? thanks guys.

I believe the ECU/tune changed at least between the VT and VX, to lift the power from 147kw to 152kw

Not aware of any mechanical changes.

VS-VT is 147kw
VX-VY is 152kw

the difference in kw is from:
different EGR setup
manifold was refined
faster processing ECU
something else i just cant think of atm.

CAI is also different (obviously) but i doubt it performs any better.

touse the VT and up ECU you need the BCM as well yeah? or can you just get the vat tables deleted?

I know there was some hiccup with that idea.

should have reworded it better, they had a better designed CAI but it was optional and not standard

Yeah, no idea if the design was better, but I'm sure it was standard across the range. Even my pov-spec Exec had one, can't recall seeing a picture of a VT without one (unless it had been modified).
