ecotec v6 VY power upgrade, what was it?

hey guys i was just thinking about how the VY commodore gained 5kw over the previous models using the ecotec V6.

how did they do this again? if i can remember correctly i think it was the intake manifold or extractors or something?

so my whole point is, can this "part" be put onto the VS for the same power upgrade?

I'm not 100% sure but i think it was a different manifold/tune. Have a look at some reviews on the VY and they usually say where the power increase comes from.

Are Ecotec's from VS thru VX all the same?

Power didn't increase between the VX-VY, it was between the VT-VX. VX and VY both had 152kW. As ephect says, there is more info in the other thread.

oh yeah thats right it was vx, sorry!!! i saw that thread too but thought it was VY, sorry guys.
