How do u get the door lock (orange bit) out, i have had a look at a couple of forums but still can't work it out
please help
mate the only way i got them out was with a VERY LITTLE piece of spring steel!!!!!!!!(BOBBY PIN)straighten out the pin then use pliers to bend the pin in a little hook. then slide the hook down 1 side of the orange bit, then pull out firm but not too firm(they break easy)..... that should be a help for u... tell me how u went!
I use the flat head screw driver out of an electronics kit for mine... u know the really little screw drivers. Do it in the middle at the top of the orange bit because thats where it clamps on to the rod.
Its like a piece of lego, if you flick a small screw driver on the side and flick it out it will pop out, but take note how high the button is before you pull it out because the orange clip is what holds it at its height, it sort of clips on to a threaded rod much like a bolt, if you put it back ( just by pushing it in ) and the height is wrong, when you use your central locking that door will unlock every time you lock the car, ( a pain in the ass really ).
Yep. Just (carefully) flick the bottom of the orange bit outwards with a tiny flat screwdriver. It should come off the threaded link.
if all that fails use a self tapper and screw into the middle of it and get a new one from holden there a dime a dozen thats what we did at the panel shop any way
