    Default vs radio cuts out

can anyone follow this?. radio works fine ,all pre sets ok till i turn ignition off, then i have to manually switch it back on. all memory is erased.cd side works fine. i see 2 radio fuses and both ok. it,s getting frustrating having to turn on , find the frequency, then station ect. must be another fuse somewhere. any help appreciated.

It means that you arn't getting a constant 12v to the radio (probly the wire broke) But that one wire keeps the power going to the radio with the engine off and stores all the memory and what not

thanks all. i forgot to say it,s not origanal radio someone has put a pioneer with detachable face. i was thinking maybe there is a fuse in there.but maybe i should take it out. the only trouble with that isradios don,t seem to go back as they should when i take them out.

Yeh, generally its a yellow wire from the head unit (not always though).

Check your fuses as well, depending on how it was wired in, it may be a blown fuse under the dash

    Generally:
    Red: Accessories 12v+
    Yellow: Constant 12v+
    Black: Earth
    Current mods/repairs:
    Power Windows Installation (70% Complete)

    Current Issue(s)
    N/A
