Hey guys,
Bawt a 95 VR Series II Exec, auto!

And painted part of the dash white!
Now what else should i do witht he interior?
And what engine mods can i do as im a p plater dont forget?
cheers
all depends on personal taste, you can add gauges, retrim your interior.. its endless. and everyone will tell you different.
What you really need to decide is what you want to achieve and how much your willing to spend. for some brillient ideas, scroll through the 'My Ride VR-VS section' and have a look at what some other members on here are doin. even go through other models an check out what mods are being done, should give you plenty of inspriation
im not trying to palm this off, just trying to get you thinking on what you like and what you want to achieve for ur budget.
there's been heaps of threads like this where people are asking for opinions, and suggestions and such, which is fine, but reading through many a thread only to have people type back in brutally honest answers or opinions just causes frustration to people...
I guess with things you can do to "pretty" up your interior, or exterior i guess that is left up to you!
With in this forum there's a "my ride" section which shows off people cars and there mods, that's probably the best place to get idea's and suggestions for things to do with your car
Good luck with it
This is my opinion.
I have yet to see a retrimmed interior that can outlast the factory interior.
Within a few years many of those retrimmed interiors go out of shape and the roof lining falls down.
If your VR is nice on the inside, get some good seat covers and floor mats and leave it at that.
Before you start pumping money into engine mods, get all the maintenance up to date.
Im mean go right through it. Do the brakes ,change all the fluids ,fix any leaks.
It will serve you well in the long run![]()
air bag it![]()
seatcovers and floor matts ? thats not the advice id give haha but ok
SIR LS1
the two ton go kart
wat advice wuld u give well yea the interior is in 95% condition so mite just do seat covers and shit no retrim!
Seatcovers look crapat best uses throwovers.
and please learnt to spell reading the word bawt sounded like im talking to a 3 year old.
make a my ride thread and show us this vr![]()
Some say less talk more action. But I rekon more torque less traction!
or do what i plan to do, stato/calais interior, with leather seats![]()
Unions: the people who brought you weekends
how much wuld it cost for calais interior fromt he wreckers u rekon? or a full retrim inside the whole car?
and have u got the calais dash aswell or just the seats?
depends where you go for the interiors man, like Commodore Spares will sell a decent interior set for like $500. If you wanted to go the extra mile, they sell like the vy / vz Seats and trim packages for like $1000+ well worth it if you were going to go all out, the cheaper alternative is to find the interior sets in cars like at upullit but to come across one is like tripping over gold. literally. Source out all the places b4 u go pulling cash out of your pocket, even post in the Wanted To Buy section here on forums, you;d be suprised what people have lying around.
As for performance mods for your car, as i mentioned in your other post. An exhaust, usually a 2.5" cat back does the trick, extractors (lukey or pacemakers), greenfoam tune, helps a little more with bigger leads eg. 10mm, a high flow cat can help but for $180, it will only add probably 5kw, after those things its pretty much internal / very expensive from there like properly camming it, a turbo, supercharger etc. The UNDOUBTABLY BEST MOD POSSIBLE FOR ANY CAR (if not already done) is a MANUAL conversion, you get heaps more out of your engine and you'll enjoy it heaps more too.
cheers mate ill do the research on the interior and get the engine mods and get it all up to speed lol... nah i cbf manual licence mite get a phase II shift kit instead it shuld do the trick?
I think you should check this out: Buick and Ecotec V6 Performance Upgrades
That thread should get you on the right path with the 6. Also 4 rims and some lowering is a good start and changes the look of the car greatly.
