its just the computer from a ex cop car.. yes it has the chip inside it but, it wont be a special chip, just standard chip, in a standard computer, from a ex cop car

I think stealthy said that if you need to tell if its a real cop chip, just look for traces of unicorn horns in it :P

If there ever was a cop chip, from what ive been told they pull them out before the car leaves the police force along with all the other gear.

simple fact of the matter is if this product costs anymore than a second hand ECU from a standard commodore then he's asking far too much!

My mate had a VU S-pac and he said he got a mechanic to plug it in and fiddle with the computer and he apparently found 'police' mode, which was only a digital speedo where the odometer was. It was a little out, like doing the speed alert speedo thingy in VR/VS's

I think they run different diff ratio, and I have a feeling but I doubt it, a stall converter too?

Standard 3.08 just LSD, no stall convertor.
The one I have from NSW is pretty much an SS without extractors/bodykit.

some cop cars are manuals mazda 3s etc. but thats it. nothing really special except that the new fords come up with police in the digital part of the cluster. kinda cool

I think the cop ECU's are slightly different. I think Fitzy2005 used one for his manual conversion and it could read the pulse from the manual VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). You can get lean cruise and no fault codes and also normal idle which some people may not be getting when trying to run an auto ECU.

A: Not sure how difficult it would be to install, as far as performance goes the car could get to 130k in less than 3 seconds but it also has other high performance components that would contribute.
