    Question VS exhaust setup

hey guys, i've just my VS II and i'm newish to cars, so i'm not very knowledgeble with them. To start my mods, i want to get a nice sounding exhaust system, nothing illegal (still on L's and P's in July ) but nice sounding, if someone could explain how it would work/fit, and could give me a price, id greatly appreciate it, ill also add for your convenience that i dont have a LSD or IRS i own a modless (still havnt put in a cd player ) 1996 VS series II executive.

    Thanks for any help

Just about any brand 2 1/2" cat back will do. It replaces the standard exhaust from the catalytic converter to the rear of the car. You will most likely need one with a front muffler and a rear resonator. You can get one without the rear resonator but being on P's you may get more attention than others so it is best to keep it legal. You can pay anywhere from $260 to $400 for a VS sedan depending on brand and shop and whether you can fit it yourself or not.

No, the new front muffler bolts onto the back of the cat. It is a small muffler looking thing right in the centre about level with the front doors. It has two bolts with springs on them holding the muffler onto it. The muffler sits just in front of the diff and then the resonator is behind the diff just up under the rear bumper on the left.

Dont get a rear resonator it will just be quiet still...just get 1 muffler and you will be happy enough, and they are not that loud without a resonator

haha just realised you're in port...dunno if you have seen my car or not...yours isn't the silver one that has L plates on it sittin on lake road is it?

go to A1 exhaust on jindalee road and he'll do you the redback exhaust for around $300 fitted
