will A vs statesman series 2 garnish fit Vr statemans boot lid

I need to replace the boot lid on my series 2 VS statesman and only can find a vr boot lid
so Does anyone know if a series two Vs statesman garnish will fit a vr statesman boot lid ? because of the key hole
Are the boot lids identicle once the garnish is removed or is the key hole on the VS boot lid filled in?
