Hey guys, I've got a 95 VS IRS sedan and it's got superlows in the back and there is significant negative camber on the back wheels.. I've been quoted $300+ to have a 4 point kit suplied and fitted but i've seen kits on ebay for $150 and even some on here for around $120, and was thinking.. can i just press the bushes myself and put the kit in myself? whats involved? what do i actually do? haha does anyone know? has anyone done it before? thanks in advance![]()
i think those cheaper ones are the two point kit
1995 Manual HSV Clubsport
Wade Cam :: 9.2:1 CR :: Pacemaker headers :: Twin 2.5" Exhaust :: VT Brakes
1991 Supercharged VN Berlina
9 PSI SC14 Intercooled :: Genie headers :: Twin cats :: HM Twin 2.25 exhaust :: 3.45:1 LSD
yeap as stocky said, most of the kits around that price are only 2 point, purchase 2 of them and u have a 4point kit
follow this link Anyone actually installed a camber kit and any tips?? to my post on installing a camber kit, its fairly easy to DIY.
this is the link to the whole thread Anyone actually installed a camber kit and any tips??
once installed, try align the wheels straight as possible and book in for a wheel alignment asap
mint! cheers for that guys, really helpfull![]()
2point kit gives you either camber adjustment or toe adjustment,
whereas the 4point gives you both camber and toe which gives you the maximum amount of adjustment.
if you can afford it get a 4point straight up. if you cant, get a 2point and have that installed to adjust camber so you can at least straighten up ur wheels, then down the track get another 2point and install it to adjust toe.
oh good as, thanks a lot![]()
Those camber kits you see on ebay for about $130 - $150 are actually 4 point. I've inquired about this once before. Double check before you make any purchase though. Most of the ones in the price range are the Super Pro brand. Still cheaper than retail. There's also K-Mac brand listed on ebay for $320.
Me personally, I prefer to do as much work on my own car as possible to save money but even if you did put them in you still need to take them somewhere to be aligned. That might cost you about $60 - $80 anyway. Plus if something goes wrong they can't blame you for installing them incorrectly.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
I googled this a while ago when i was gona do my car and found the best DIY guide ever, with pics n all.
