i was thinking of removeing the black stripe from down the sideand around the front and rear bumpers aswell as the door handles and tailgate button bar of my wagon but i desided after alot of searches and researched threads that it was easy to just color code them insteady. for my heron whit i got plastic primer and gloss white spray cans from autobarn very close to heron white and half the price.. what do you all think of my cheap mod?
color coding is the best, looks great mate
personally i think it also protects the door from people in shoping trolleys and doors openin beside you
thats what i thought it still serves the same protection and looks good for half the work.
best pointers i can offer is LITE coates and same method as the paiinting or interior bits. mask it all up first thenlet it dry between coats i had a beer between each coat to let die. went through 8 beers all up. looked great and pissed at that same time. lol
is your car actually heron white cos a few of those pics shows it out to be the wrong colour white
got a funny feeling thats gonna chip off did u prep the surface? or just chucked some primer on? and even if u did get heron white it be alot differnt coz ur paints faded. let us know how it holds up
it was a quick fix. lite sand primer then paint, but will be done properly when i get some straight pannels as the door do have ripples in them.
true it offers protection, but IMO i rekon removing them looks better, and acctually costs less then painting them, looks good still tho mate, im all for keeping it close to stock too, and this is better if you ever want to return it to stock.
