    Default Sweaking sound problem

Hi guys, every time i am just idle at a set of lights I hear a pretty loud sweaking sound coming from the motor, someone told me to put a little grease on the fan belt as they said it could be a dry fanbelt, but i done that and nothing has changed so i am wondering what else could it be.
    appreciate any thoughts,
    thanks

you should not put grease on the under side of your belt,,, that's bad...
instead replace your belt if it's still doing, next time at the lights put your car into N and see if the noise is still there!

I am having this problem too, I thought it was the breaks but it occurs when I'm not using the brakes.

I've noticed this a lot with other VS lately even mine. My mechanic sprayed some stuff on the fan belt because it was dry and it went away but it came back so I'm gonna change the belt and see what happens. As soon as he sprayed it the noise stopped.
