    Default Sway bar link bushes?

    finally got the car registered today. and as im leaving vicroads and go over a bump i can hear a rattle and feel it too. pulled into a garage and hoisted it up and saw that a rubber had cracked. is it still safe to drive on? having the rubber replaced tomorrow

    You should replace the links and rubbers with S style links and urethane pivots.
    Yes it will be ok to drive for a little while.

    When you replace/upgrade stick a bit of Loctite on the thread before you do them up. I have the Z bar style ones with neoprene (blue) bushes and they work themselves loose every couple of weeks, even with nylock nuts on them.

    really that must give you the sh*** i have done plenty of link kits in commodores and have never heard of nuts undoing in weeks, are you r front wheels out of balance?

    Now that you mention it, yeah I think they were. When I had my steelies on I noticed a slight steering wheel vibration at around 100k. Its stopped now that I have my alloys on. Cheers for pointing that out, it was doing my head in

    neoprene?? your bushes are made out of an old wetsuit? doubt it
    blue bushes (my guess is superpro) are still urethane, only difference being they used a different dye.

    as for nuts coming undone in a few weeks, there's something seriously wrong there. nylocks shouldn't come loose at all. loctite will fix it, but i'd be more inclined to fix the problem rather than the symptom

    That was just off the top of my head. They are made by a company called Noltec. I dont know what the actual compound is called.
