    Default vr caprice immobiliser

hey guys. i need to ask you a question about my new car.

if you allready had the car open. jump in and turn the key. the reds work but the car fails to start. im not sure why this is but you have to lock the car and then unlock it again for it to start.

any other commodore i have been in has not had to do this.

would this mean i have an aftermarket alarm system etc. thanks alot guys. also any particular places i should look for signs of an aftermarket alarm being fitted

The keyheads 'bump' isn't working, or the metal prongs around the ignition barrel.
Tried bending them out a little?

The remote disables the immobiliser, but it seems the keyhead 'bump' and the ignition barrel contacts arn't working well together.

Either way, it's pretty much guaranteed to be that, alot of people have it, and even less notice it, because they use the key to open the door, and that disarms the car

If bending the prongs out a little dosn't work, its likely to be the keyhead (or the prongs still).
