Not reversing

hi i did a similar thing like this
oh no, into reverse
except i was the mate lol, accidently put it into reverse while angel gearing it down a hill, over a couple of weeks reverse has degraded to the point where it wont reverse on the flat, i think i mite a little with a hill roll
does anyone know what the problem would be? transmission? and cost?
is there any way to fix it on the cheap? 2nd hand whatever.. im guessing not

edit: i should say that drive is working perfectly no noises or problems what so ever

well seeing how cheat stock gearboxes are gettin, maybe get one from the wreckers...or get a workd one from ebay..

or maybe go to a transmission place and ask them to have a look
