i have a VR V6 live axel.. i want LSD, can i get one off a earlier or later model commodore? do i just need to replace the centre part or the whole diff?
Do it yourself, it may save you some cash.
this may help you.
How to: Source your own diff gears and remove them yourself
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
i will be doing it my self but i am curious to how and what i use.
not quite sure how all this works, are the diff gears in the LSD? if i get different diff gears say 3.9s and i want an LSD do i put them in it or !? im :S
i did this not long ago and its not too hard to do by yourself if you are just changing the centre, cost me $300 for a reconditioned lsd from a vl turbo and $50 for lsd oil, new gasket, lsd additive and some gasket sealent. you will need a rattle gun to get the crownwheel bolts out, i just borrowed one.
