    Default VS Airbag Steering Wheel

Does anyone know if it is possible/how to replace the standard VS S-Pack steering wheel with an airbag steering wheel, like the one the HSV's and Berlina's/Calais came with?

    cheers

I'm pretty sure the cost would exceed the value of the car as you'd need all the sensors, controller and airbag(s) plus you'd need to get it passed by an engineer to make it legal.

you serious? damn, so there's no way to sort of 'disengage' the airbag, sounds wierd but I love the feel of the airbag steering wheel, just so much better

Legally I 'm pretty sure you cannot even fit a "disabled" airbag steering wheel - unless you actually remove the airbag and explosive device that inflates it....this is virtually impossible as the steering wheel cover is the actual airbag.
There are other steering wheels that fit.

Why don't you have a motor trimmer wrap your current one in leather then? I had mine done and it feels great.

Around the $80 mark. I honestly don't know if that is cheap, dear or somewhere in between however I am thrilled with the end result. I had the same mob do the auto select knob as well.
