Default How many here have a column shift?

As above. I'm curious to know just how [un]common column shift is on the VR-VS. I recently purchased a column shift ute, personally, find it to be a lot more practical than a floor shift auto ever could be. Just not as fun as a manual.

The bench seat + extra room makes it well worth it.

Anyway, what are people's thoughts on the column shifter in these vehicles?

Mum used to have a VS exec wagon bench seat car. The column shift was awesome.

The car was immaculate at 140,000ks and she traded it in and got 2 grand off a VZ executive and the dealer turned around and sold the VS for $6k.

my ute is a 3 seater column auto , its great , sub behind passenger seat so the seat is forwards slightly, middle arm/backrest up , good angle to park your arm on whilst driving
Its not what you know or who you know , its how well you can fake it

I seen 1 of these coumn shift VR's in the wreckers on Friday - should look at the parts and see what is still on the car and how much they want for the parts - it looked complete inside.

yer i got a coloum shift auto ute with a bench seat. i like and dislike it
i like it cause of: ease of the auto
got the bench seat for 3 ppl (3 tiny people) and helps ocasinaly bein a bench seat

    hate it cause:
    its not a manual
would rather bucket seats and center console
people think im still a taxi because u can carry 3 people and my rules are me and 1 mate or me and many chearleaders ;P

but over all i like it and would only change if i converted it to a manual
