Vs electric aerial keeps braking masts

I have replaced the mast twice and it keeps doing the same thing, goes fine for couple of weeks and then stops half way and makes a clicking noise and does't seen to be anything wrong with mast.
Does any one know if there is another problem or is the motor buggered and i should just replace the whole thing?

I have the same problem.really pisses me off. $200 bucks each time for Holden to replace it

dont take it to holden it isnt that hard to replace yourself if you just take the front wheel off and remove inner guard. i would replace the whole lot. they available from super cheap or repco. put an old style manual one on there, do you really need electric. i have an elctric in my vr and never once had a problem in about 4 years
