    Question VS V6 Manual Conversion??

    Hey guys, I've got a 95 vs s-pack sedan with an auto but im thinking of putting a 5 spd manny in it, it looks like theres a lot of room to stuff things up so im asking you guys for some help lol
    -For starters the engine in my car is out of a 99 VT so is that series 1 or 2?
    -and i've noticed that theres "Getrag" boxes and "T5" gearboxes.. any differences?
    -and can i put a gbox from a vn or vp behind the vt engine?
    -also do i need to change the diff or recalibrate the speedo or change driveshaft?
    i've probs missed heaps of things but yeah, i think you know what im gettin at

    And is it even worth the trouble? coz my mate has an AU falcon 5spd sedan and its runnin 175rwkw and its all stock, I reckon he's just got that amount of power coz its a manual and not having to put up with auto delay and slop..

    ill try to help...99 vt - s1
    t5 - cable driven, getrag - fluid driven ( ithink)
    donno about the buick box fitting....i think the center shaft thing is different but not sure
    and the au will still be quicker coz my vs 5lt stato lost to a el xr6....but thats wen mine was a stock auto..

    you'd need the Getrag box for sure.... I sourced info to do my VT but professionally the mob I went to wanted 4k...

    But in saying that if I sourced ALL the bits myself... I'd say around 2k including labour....
