    Default Alternator noise

My alternator is making a grinding/whirring noise, could it be a bearing? If so how do i replace it?

That will be the front bearing - it is replaceable for under $10 but you need to remove the rotor and front pulley to fit it. Take your time and it can be done.
    Good Luck.

It probably is a bearing. You will need to pull the alternator apart to replace the bearing(s). A very simple job really. You will probably need a puller to get the bearings of the shaft.

Just took the belt off and spun all the pulleys, it's the tensioner pulley! Is there a bearing in that or do i need a new assembly?

You can replace the pulley for around $30 from Supercheap, Repco, Bursons etc. The bolt that holds it on is left hand thread (turn it clockwise to undo it.)
