I change the thermostat today on my Supercharged V6 VS Statesman as it was sitting on the cold mark for last couple of months and now it sits on the 1/4 mark but the climate control is still blowing cold at 25 degrees is there a way to adjust the climate control to adapt or do i just have to leave it at a higher temp to keep warm?
Thanks for any help!
Check your heater tap is opening

Also make sure the radiator fan isn't coming on too early and not giving the car a chance to warm up.
Must be the heater tap as it started to leak today and i'm about to replace it $48 from holden!
Go to repco, i got mine for $25 was identical
VS Commodores have a habit of getting an air lock in the heater system, not allowing the coolant to circulate to the unit, try emptying the system then refilling it slowly while the motor is running and is warm/hot with the heater turned on. Good luck!
$25 man thats good, especially if its for the climate control setups.
It just the same as any other heater tap, just have to check how many hose's connect up to urs as there are a couple different types
Is the temp sensor attached to the heater pipe?
Has the plastic clip with a copper tip thingo held against the heater core copper pipe.

Ummm, Where would i look for that or do i have to pull the dash apart?
No dont think so - drivers side down low. Follow the copper pipes back from the fire wall.

Will do in the morning.

P.S i don't think you should lend your car to your wife anymore, by the looks of that pic!!!!!
Also the air mix motor starts to move when the temp is set to 28 deg and up. Just a thought.

what does it say when you press AMB? if its -30c the sensor is unplugged or stuffed. its near the front near the radiator at the bottom little black square
AMB works fine it usually only off by 1 to 2 degs
Can you get a pic of this and how it's meant to be? I'm getting similar issues.
Also a pic of how the flexy hose connects up (the one coming from the in car sensor on back on C/C). I think it goes to a T piece and connects up to one of the holes down there....I think this could be more my problem actually.

Cheers for that mate. I don't think I have it so maybe that's why I get no heat lol. I'll have to try and find one at wreckers or something...
