    Default temp gauge query

    hey i have just bought a l67 statesman
    the temp gauge usually sits on the 1/3 mark but today i was in the maccas drivethrough and was sittin on about half way just idilin waitin in line
    is this normal

    yeah it is cause sitting still there is no air passing through the radiator to cool engine down. Did the thermo fans kick in?

    yea thermo fans and everything kicked in just noticed it and got a bit scared lol

    try replacing your thermostat not to expensive and might fix your problem about $20 from supercheap

    My S/C Stato sits on 1/4 and will get up to 1/2 in heavy traffic or hot days before the thermo's kick in but never goes over half!

    the VS gauges are very active in comparison to other models. have a look at the fuel gauge next time you put your foot down quite amusing
    as stated above, provided bthe car doesn't go over halfway when idling for a short period, it should be ok. maccas is murder on mine mine will creep up even higher than half, still haven't diagnosed the problem...
