Default I need some details of the VR V6 fuel system

If anyone here with a VR V6 running the stock fuel system would be kind enough to take some photos of the hardware in the engine bay, that would be much appreciated.

Another thing I need cleared up... there's a fuel dampener or some such on the VR setup, sits in the line under the throttle plate somewhere. How necessary is this part? If it's necessary, anyone got a part number?

I'm instaling a VR V6 into my VN, running a tune for a manual VR, if that helps.

the fuel dampner should be under the throttle cable mounting plate even my VP jas one any model will do doesnt need to be VR it just takes the pulses of the injectors out of the fuel system.everything should be the same as vn really apart from different looking fuel rails.

Thankyou. My VN is a series 1, will the dampener from that do the trick? Did it even have one?

So really, the fuel reg is the only difference between VNs1 and VR setups?

ok. No dampener on the VN s1 at all.

I wonder can it run OK without one, then I'll get one at a later date?

None on the series 1 motors at all? Well I'll be ****ed. Also, the fuel regs are the same throughout I'm sure!

    will go check

edit: checked, don't really know what I'm looking for exactly (whether it's different on s1s) but doesn't seem to have one.. Unless it's in the tank, with the fuel pump assembly?

I could be entirely wrong (and probably am) but I get the feeling that my 5L VR had a dampener in the tank.

Regs mount differently I think, will check this later and post up for clarification in future searches (if i remember :P)

Well I shall leave out the dampener for now, and add one in later, prob when I do the 80L tank
