Default Diff Gears. Too High Too Thirsty

    hey guys

diff gears... whats the go. would a gear change like 3.9's be too hard on fuel compared to a gear like 3.7 or are they both about the same. is there a noticeable difference?

    cheers

    it's around 2400rpm for 3.9 gears @100km/h
    2300 for 3.7

mate all depends on your gearbox really. i've done a truck load of research on this because i didnt want to be stting on to many revs when sitting at 100. with some research i found that a getrag with 3.9's will sit on 2650RPM and with 3.7's it will sit on 2500RPM if i remember correctly. and with a T5 box and 3.9's it will sit on 2450RPM if i remember correctly. and i suppose i should thank immortality for those figures . iam getting 3.9s put in on friday so ill let you know
