no spark on a 304

hey guys just want to know if there no spark commin out of the coil, what would cause this ??

Either no power going into it or a dead coil.
Is the coil getting power?
Do you have an ohm meter?
Primary winding resistance 0.76 - 0.84 ohm
Secondary winding resistance 4860 - 5940ohm

yeah its hettin power 12v to the pos side. the coil should be alright it worked when the motor was in the other car. what is a ohm meter ? is it like a multi meter

yes, multi meter should read ohms as well as volts etc.

Also could be faulty ignition module or the hall effect part of the distributor - both fairly common problem items - do a search on this forum and you'll find plenty of references.

if the ignition module is fulty the car just wont start?? what about if i have the wrong memcal in the computer, its a vr computer but with a vn memcal??

if its a VR V6 manual or VR V8 ecu and a VN V8 memcal should go even if it had a V6 memcal it would probably go
