GearBox Trouble

having bit of trouble with my car,traveling home doing 100km an the car was revving 3000 revs,just got near home an the car went down to 60km and just kept revving an i had no power just revs,it got worse then it would just stop an it wouldnt move just rev,anyone know if its the auto box gone or something else.its a vs auto 97

Does not sound good unfortunately. Is the engine light on? - probably also the car is in Limp Home Mode. First thing to do is check the fluid level as maybe it's very low but thats an outside chance. Then do a error code check Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
Lucky it got you home - mine failed 1800km from home. Hope it pans out OK.
