-Maguiers Quick detailer on any birdshit
missing anything?
Not really mate, only thing i can add would be:
Use two buckets, one with your car wash and one with hot water to wash the sponge so after you have washed a part of the car the dirt and crap goes into the one with the hot water and not in the one your trying to get the dirt off with, hope that makes sence sorry.
Instead of the scratch x, you could clay bar the car then paint cleaner then polish then 1 or 2 coats of good quality wax.
And i always use the Mequirs micro fibre rugs, there the best in my opinion.
Just a few ideas for ya mate.
Cheers mate. What do you recommend for polish?
Well ijust finished mine for a car show on sunday and i used Mequirs polish, then two coats of Nano wax and she has come up sweet mate, up to you really find one that you like and stick to it.
The Mequirs tech wax, makes mine look bright and heaps shiny, and now that i have just used the polish with a different wax its looks darker and heaps deeper shine to it, just remember that the tech wax and the polish just cover the swirls it doesnt remove them.
Some pics i got today, not the best but there pics lol.
Thanks for looking.
hey mate did u get my pm?
Yeah sorry mate, just looked then.
sorry to bug you in your thread mate
Car Care Products / Duragloss / Exterior / Paint Sealant / Clear Coat Polish
whats your thought on some of that before a coat of tech wax?
ive allways been a wash and wax person. Never really polished before. Whats involved with polishing?
cheers mate
just clean it, simple.
looks great . its so clean.
TOM: If you go using that it will already have a coat of protection so the wax wouldnt really be needed. You can buy a step by step 3 bottle system of Mequirs that works well, just use a clay bar before anything, but seeing your getting a respray you could just polish it then wax it to give it the protection.
Polishing easy mate just put it on and rub it off the Mequirs you take it back off immediatly.
tristanjp: HA HA I wish it was that simple.
Mate, do you know the exact name of the meguiars stuff you use?
Its just the stuff in the Step by step range mate, i was just using the tech wax stuff in the bottle but found it to come up heaps better by using the just the normal polish then going over it with some Nano wax.
Hope that helps mate.
Farrk your car sounds nice lol. Could hear it for ages. What did you say you cleaned the black rubber bits up with again? I remember the purple chrome polish but yeah not the stuff for the rubbers....cheers
Thanks mate, Mequirs Gold class trim detailer, its in a black bottle.
