Na mate, took the photos before I stole nail polish remover from my mum to get the bloody white-out off the windows. And cheers, it is clean. No dents or anything on the body. Interior is immaculate.

I don't like the Monroe shocks because I had some in my first VN for a while and they wore quickly, leaked and just didn't feel right for me. I'd love to replace them with Pedders Sports Ryder, but unfortunately the money is better spent elsewhere.

Yeah, red cars are terrible for paint fade. Mine isn't faded but the paint could be better. I'm sure you get what I mean. For most it would be fine as is, but for me I want it near-perfect. A proper buff and polish will do this so I'm paying someone to do it. Once that is done I'll be washing and waxing it every weekend. Will be kept garaged in the hotter months, will not always be garaged in winter because moving cars around all the time is a pain in the arse.

Yours has come up absolutely beautiful, if mine comes even close to that I will be very happy. I'm sure it will come up very similar as the paint is in no way bad. (apart from a couple of tiny clear-peal spots on the rear bar which i do not believe are from sun exposure)

    Cheers bro!

Me and a mate have planned to go for a cruise Wednesday night, he lives in Newton so I'll be up that side of town. Let me know if you want to come! Will get some good photos for sure.

And don't worry about me keeping it in good condition, it definately will not get worse. Only better.

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

Edit: Here is crap pic of my leg and some dash. Will get some good interior pics tomorrow when I give her a good clean and wax.

It's got 210, unfortunately. But 5L's go for ever if you look after them and I was confident in the Motacheck results and the guy i bought it from seemed pretty genuine. The guy had it for 2 years, got it at 170ish thousand k's.

Cheers mate. It looks ALOT better after a serious wash and wax. Did that today, will have pics up later tonight.

Yeah it sounds great. Loud as. Had a look at the exhaust, it's a single 3inch with a single muffler.

EDIT: A couple of pics after the wash and wax. It's now shiny and all the chalk is gone. Used some shitty unknown brand wax and did a quick job, will get into it hard on Saturday with the Meguiars wet-look. Should come up real nice after that.

So the SS was involved in an accident today on Unley Road accross from the Cremorne Hotel. I'm not going to pull blame from myself, it was my fault (technically) but there was essentially nothing i could do.

I was following two mates, the first one had to brake very hard (just short of a lockup), second one was braking really hard and ended in a lockup, missing my first mate by a metre max. I hit the back of the second mates car at 5 - 10 km/h. I have full comp insurance but i'm not going through it, i'm footing the repair bill for both cars with money i don't have because i don't want to ruin my rating and increase my premiums.

Went to Top Class Body Repairs on Tapleys Hill Road because a good mate is an apprentice painter there (so hopefully they will be honest and genuine unlike most repair shops in Adelaide) and the quote for the Soarer is $410 cash and the quote for the SS is $1400 cash.

Essentially the front bar is ruined, both headlights, front bar support, front left foggy support, bonnet needs to be realigned as with the front left guard although neither are bent. And a few other little things. Soarer damage is mainly paint.

So essentially i'm out of pocket $2000+ for something which WAS my fault but was completely out of my control. If you get what i mean..

Shame what happened. Why were they locking up in the first place? (Inb4 you were following to closely blah blah)

i guess i should explain it better. Sorry in advance for poor grammar, im writing this on my phone.

There were 4 cars directly involved in the incident, at the front was a brand new merc, then my mate in his calais, then the mate in the soarer, then me.

We were in the left hand lane going up unley road, there were parked cars on the left and we were in the left lane. Essentially the merc was covering the brake with a little pressure and his brake lights were on, at the last second he slammed on the brakes because he decided he could not make it into the right hand lane or even pass the cars. This is bullshit and i know for a fact thay he could have passed them.

When he slammed on the brakes (you all know how quickly a brand new merc stops) my mate in the calais was brakinf very hard to avoid him, then the soarer driver was forced to stomp on it and lock up to avoid the calais. Now it comes to me, i was following at a safe distance, what caused me to be ****ed was the fact that as you slow down traffic closes up, and because the brake lights on the soarer were on prior to the sudden stopping i had no warning.

The tint on the soarer is also very dark and when driving behind it you are completely unable to see cars ahead through the windows.

It wasnt a matter of whether i hit him oe not, it was a matter of how fast, i had nowhere to go.

But shes in the shop getting fixed, front bar arrived yesterday. Getting painted today and fitted and everything aligned on monday.

Stelthy, definately cruise when i get her back?

What happened is crap, but shit happens to everyone and even though i'm out of pocket here at least i'll have my car back and it will be the same, because the damage wasn't bad.

Front bar got resprayed by my mate at Top Class Body Repairs today. Should be getting put back together monday.
