what sort of tracks do you go through? all these suspension and tyre mods will be on hold until i know how sad my head gaskets are.

btw, wouldn't work for you but you can get a bf goodrich mud terrain in LT construction in 215/75, 15 inch.. reckon it would fit, they are bigger than my 235/45 17 inchers by a bit.

Been through tracks up at Benambra, Licola, Dargo, and just around the farm. I tend to have my mate in the Landcruiser not far away lol.

Have you got your heads off?

It would be 60mm in diameter bigger yeah? Most likely hit the strut, I know i have bugger all clearance now, a hard trip over Mt Hotham had be scrubbing the fronts by half way back down.

    Thanks mate.
He got them done in Ballarat, no idea apart from that. It looks like he bought two sets of the bucket RM Williams covers and got them made to suit one seat, could see if a local motor trimmer could do it.
Nah there not cheap, especially decent five posters, just keep an eye out on ebay and the like they pop up.

New Headlights, globes, polished and reblackened the bullbar, looking a little more neat. Also have another new set of Falken tyres on there, manager 70k+ kms out of the last set. Fixed a few little things that havent been working, like the 12v socket, horn and little things.

Next is New Excedy flywheel and clutch, will probably do rear springs, shocks and maybe poly-air bags at the same time.

Still tempted to put a reconditioned 1" master/booster, and see if the brakes can get even better.

Unfortunately this ute has 296,000 km's now, and anything I do is just pissing money away, but it doesnt use water or oil and consistently gets mid 9L/100km on fuel, will hang on to it whilst it keeps going faultless.

Default RDA VE Brake upgrade kit - missing bolts!?!?

Just had help installing the VE upgrade kit to my VS SS and was halted very quickly - 2 of the high tensile allen key bolts that fasten the new calipers to the connecting brackets are missing.

One side is done but the car is now on stands til Tuesday, waiting for RDA to send them - ####!!!

Code stamped on top of bolt is YFS 12.9 and they are 40mm long (12.9 is the thread width)

A long shot I know, but where can I get 2 of these in Adelaide over the weekend so I dont have to taxi to work on Monday???

you have to go to a bolt shop mate, thats the only place youll get a bolt of that tensile i would think. DO NOT use a lower tensile bolt.
