Nice car man, very high k's though BUT... lucky you with the 5 speed manual lol
i'd throw an engine recon on the future mods list, keep her lasting a bit longer
looks nice mate![]()
paint looks good for 340 000 kms
nice car
i think the vs v6's had about 146 or 148 fwkw
The Commodore bug is a good bug to be bitten by... my car was a originally a Grandpa Spec Botanica Mica VS Executive exactly like yours (except for mines auto) but mine was also complete with rear window venetion, mud guards and all the usual plastic bonnet, window etc protectors, which started its modding life with clear side indicators from a VX (like yours). 5 years later, its spiralled out of control and is a completely different car...
Its a good place to start mate, I guarantee that mod list will get bigger, but just take your time and do what you want, don't let people tell you what you should do, by all means advice is great, but the final decision should be yours. Good luck with it!
Yeah mate, the VS Ecotec put out 147kw at the flywheel from factory, which translated to between around 90-110kw at the wheels (depending on transmission, freak motor etc)
A safe guess for a your car, it being a manual, would be around about 95 - 100rwkw (high kms could be a factor).
Nice pickup mate. Great colour!!! pretty high k's man, hopefully it doesn't give you too many problems in the future!
The high k's are a bit of a problem, but most of the manual commodores i could find were around that mileage for the money i had. Cheers for the feedback all.
sorry all it has only done 240 000k's, which sounds a bit better. cheers
nice car mate
yeh i had the same problem when i was looking around for a manual s-pack
all the bloody manual commodores are v8!!
Oh i see,, you live in Melbourne didnt read that bit.. Sorry im from S.A. so none of this matters to me![]()
^^^ yeah but if we already have our Ps we can still drive turbo/supercharged cars and v8s
btw nice car. I recently got a vs and im gettin a few ideas off ya car.... Mine has some custom panel work aswell on the rear quater..... lovely scratches all down the side.... dont u hate the prevoius owners that dont care lol.
Wrecking VL factory V8 only a few bits left still have full dash/crash pad
and have a vk 202 motor and 5 speed Make an offer want it gone
Where is the bottom lip on the front bumper? it's almost like a standard Executive bar...
