hey im tom im 16 from new zealand this is my 96 VS calais its prety standard jus lowerd on compressd springs with shorter shocks other mods are cop wheels, tints, coby resinators with 3in tip, pod filter and polished plenum cover done 208000ks got it for $3000 off my brother so gota prety good deal .
oh and check out the photo oh it at stock hight on the conrete pad

nice mate, are they stock springs compressed?. sits nice and low. only thing i dont like is the cannon. i love that colour with the two tone calais paint, not sure why yours dosnt have the grey part but if you do it. paint it with the series 2 paint job where its lower than normal. then get the ss lip and paint it to match the grey calais paint and these colour calais look absolutly awsome.

it does have the grey bit on side sides just hard to see, and its got differnt rear and front bar so thats y it don't look like a calais

its a series 1 calais. so it should be up the doors. even the series 2 calais went up into the doors didnt it? looks to me like all doors and both bumpers were either painted or replaced.

ill take some interior shots next week when im at my dads its got that lower two tone in the middle but no on the bumpers because it had a kit when my brother got it and it looked prety silly so he took it off and jus put on stock ones the back ones actualy a slightly differant colour to the car but wen ive gota bita spare cash il repaint them but seeming im at school havnt got much of an income atm lol but ill hav heapsa money comin in at the end of this year from harvesting oats.
i also wana so somthing completley differant and build a rb30det and drop it in there it would probly be the only one in new zealand lol.
does any one have any info on puting a 30det in one off these ive red a bit about it in street commodores and on tha net but it seeems to be a prety rare conversion.
any info would be good cheers

oh and the tip aint that bad haha ive seen worse lol.still sounds alright haha

the pigs raped me today got $850 worth of fines and will have another $400 for impound fees.they did me for passangers 3 bald tyres and they also did me up for sustained loss of traction from 2 weeks ago when apparently someone saw me swinging doughnuts. they bastards charged $150 for each tyre that was bald they also pink stickerd it. the cop said if im lucky i mite be able to get off some of the fines and not loose my licence if i go through this youth aid stuff cause im only 16.so yea not tha best of days but i spose ive been driviing round on my restricted licence for nearly 6 months and this is the first time ive been pulled so yea it was gona happen sum time ae....

its got the differnt front bar so hard to say but the side 2 tone is the late model series 2 type which started around end of 96
