    Default My VS Wagon

Hey guys, been cleaning my car a bit today so thought it would be the prefect time to take some pics and make a thread like everyone else.

    Car:
1996 VS Series I (pretty sure) wagon,

    Colour:
    Green/blue pearl.

    Engine:
Stock Ecotech, no mods. Dual fuel.

    Exhaust:
2.5" catback with 3" twin tip.

    Wheels, tyres, suspension:
ADR 19" Chrome Sterling, Nexcen 245/35ZR19 tyres all 'round, Pedders springs (not cut).

    Stereo:
Nothing fancy, Sony Bluetooth head unit, Sony Xplod 2way 6inches in the doors, Kenwood 6x9's in the back (thinking of changing to Sony Xplods to match the fronts and headunit, and because the Kenwoods have little bits snapped off aswell).

    Interior:
Nothing at all really, just the spare wheel mounted on the side of the cargo with a leather cover to make way for the donut LPG tank, and a set of HSV pedals.

Future mods and things that need fixing:
New carpet (same one, just in good condition), 4" Sony Xplods in the dash, lower it a tiny bit with some proper shocks when I have the money and might look at getting the rest of the exhaust done. Down the track I wanna get it resprayed and at the same time replace the left front quarter as it's slightly bent down and it kinda looks like my bonnet is popped on one side while I driving along. I also need to fix my interior light, I replaced the globe and fuse but it still isn't working.

Nah, that's from the previous owner, I think he liked running up gutters. The sides of the tyres were all chopped up too. I scraped once the first day I bought the car and haven't done it since.

Loving those rims.. Shame about the rash. That colour looks awesome on a wagon, I don't think I've seen one with it before..

Cheers man. If I can manage to save up for a respray in the future it will be the same, just done better.

Yeah it's a shame about the gutter rash, I love the design of 'em too. A store in Geelong has them in the window, I was thinking of going and getting a price just for curiousity...

Sweet ride mate. It's good to see another wagon owner on here. I love the rims. I have been thinking of purchasing a set of HSV pedals myself - are they hard to install? My only (minor) criticism is the large advertising decals. I feel that they don't do much.

Thanks man. Yeah sometimes I'm not sure about the decals either but there are moments from certain angles where I love the look of 'em.

Nah the pedals aren't too hard to install, they're just rubber plates that slip over the metal pedals themselves, replacing the stock ones. The only trouble was having to trim the footrest to be able to screw it on.

Might aswell post a new pic lol. Been having some problems with it too, it's using way too much fuel on both petrol and gas, so I'm gonna replace the oxygen sensor and hopefully that will fix it. I'm also getting a new central locking remote made up tomorrow for $70 at Geelong Locksmiths.

Other than that there are no updates. I was thinking of lowering it, but after recently behind under the car and seeing how little clearance there will be if I lower it, I don't tihnk I'll be doing it anymore. Oh and in a few weeks I'll be getting a square meter of leather to retrim the door inserts.

I am having the same problem. I've replaced a few things including the O2 sensors and it didn't do anything. Grrrr....
