    Default My VS Commodore

Ey guys my last ride section was a bit rushed so i thought i would make a properly done thread If i'm not aloud mods please deleted this

    Anyway

    Name: Shane
    My Age: 19
Model: 1996 Vs Acclaim Series 2
    Colour: Silver
    Kilometers: 171479
    Engine Type: 3.8L Ecotec
Engine Mods: K&N Panel Filter, Vs S/C CAI, Changed piping to steel straight through pipes, Delcowizzid Tune.
Power: 145kw stock, Have not dynoed, guessing not much of a gain
Exhaust: 2.5 Inch Redback, straight through
    Gearbox: 4 Speed Automatic
    Brakes: Stock
    Suspension: Stock
Rims: 17 Inch VT SS Rims
Interior: Seat covers, blue dash instead of green, WHITE DIAL heater air con dash panel, rest is stock
Exterior: Stock Body, VS Clubsport spoiler (I'm a big fan of spoilers)
Stereo: Full Pioneer kit, headset, twin pioneer rear speakers, pioneer amp, pioneer sub.
Future Mods: Can't really see anything else to do with this car, was thinking of a shift kit but in the end figured it was not really worth it. Might leave it as it is.

I bought the car in May last year from a local car yard, it was either this one or a vr which had 60000km more on it so the choice was obvious. Didn't get my license till end of July so it was a long wait till i could drive it myself but well worth the wait

That pretty much sums it up I love my car, my first ever car since I got my license, goes well, never really had any issues, has a good note to it too

    Thanks guys.

    Shane

haha yea i figured the current seat style was a bit dull, didn't want to fork out like a grand getting them leather-ed, so went down to autobarn and picked the best ones i saw , if ya didn't pick it i'm going for the silver/blue theme

Hey mate, I love the blue dash.

I love your car, looks prime

Just wondering how you did the blue dash instead of the green. The green is a bit dull for me, so was curious to see how it was done.

    Cheers bud

    Cheers bro

Ahh with the blue dash I bought a set of blue LED globes from a power seller on ebay. These are the exact ones i bought..

ZPE Blue dash LED kit Holden Commodore VL VN VP VR VS - eBay LED, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 23-Oct-09 15:37:37 AEDST)

Then you have to unclip the dash cover from the sockets, undo a couple of screws to get your speedo dash out and then look behind it there are 4 globes placed inside. Replace those with the LED's and wolla.

I wanted to try changing from blue to red to get the hsv feel but because of the green shade its hard for the red to penetrate through

If that sounds confusing the seller provides you with a guide

yea no worries mate, be aware though trying to put red led's in your dash will be tough because of the green sheet on the dash.

Haha thanks mate i love it too
