well went to msc the other day where my stato is getting done and they fired it up for the first time,it was running really rich tho and wasnt idling properly and would cut out if u didnt hold the revs over 2500.so they tried changeing everything, new coil, ignition module, tps, iac valve but nope still didnt work.so last thing ic could of been was the ecu as it wasnt 100% right as it was just for the start up.so i went to the tuner errol at efi dynamics and he said he would cut the fuel down a bit on the ecu,so he did that then i took it to msc and,it was in the tune, put the ecu back in the car and it runs soooo much better.but wont idle properly unless revs are turned up a bit.so i'll be pickin the car up tuesday finally this time 100% and then take it to the tuner so he can fix it up a bit so its good to drive for 600 or so k's then back there to get it on the dyno cant wait,it sounds tuff as ****.my mates car was 20 meteres away from mine when it was just idleing and it set his alarm off haha.

Ah sweet, yea you will be setting off car alarms left right and centre now Nothing ever goes completely smoothly with an engine build or transplant huh, but glad to hear you only had a minor issue. Keep us updated

It's going ok, I've been experimenting with the gaps on the spark plugs, while doing a service last week I gapped them a little more and performance has decreased, so I've ordered a spark amplifier (MSD 6al) which should rock up end of the week. New manifold and exhaust system are coming soon, hoping to push way over 300rwhp after the upgrades. I should really stop spending money on the bloody thing and do something useful with it, but I'm addicted

Yea I'm the same, should really start thinking about a house, but I keep telling myself "next year, finish the ute off first" but I know the ute will never be finished. I'm going for the tp dual plane high rise, should give me a fair bit more all through the rev range, and I still havn't decided on the exhaust yet, as I have a few options:
Twin 2.5" exiting out the left hand side
Twin 2.5" one exiting on each side of the bumper (could get me pulled over a bit more)
    Single 3" lukey system.
Really can't decide on what I want, and what will give me better performance, any ideas?

Ah yea, from what I have heard on the forums twin 2.5" sounds like the way to go, but a couple of exhaust places said a 3" would flow just as well. Are you in Perth too? I thought you lived in the eastern states...

Yea well maybe I'll go with the twin 2.5", just got to decide how I want it run. Is your system pretty loud? That's one thing I'm worried about with the stroker engine and twin 2.5"
