nice gts! how do they compare to the 185's.. needs a new garnish..looks like an excec with no gts badge on the rear, also did the rear bushes stop the axel tramp?

no idea how they compare to the 185's havent driven one, though this 215 has had troubles ever since i bought it, done distributor, battery, some loose wiring, fuel filter, pump, injector clean, plugs leads etc etc and its still got abit of a miss above 4500. it should run mid 14's, but when i went down, before this engine fixing bits were done, i could only get a 15.3, though i couldnt get a good launch, next time im taking some 16's down to chuck on the back, rather then running 19's @ 40psi...
the green garnish was cracked when i got the car, you can see the dint in the boot lid aswell, so i chucked on a spare one i had, they are the same anyway, just not painted.
the diff bushes didnt totally stop the axel tramp, though it is basically gone, as in, only very rarely will it tramp, mainly with slight wheel spin, but when i dump it its fine. It does abit of a tramp into 2nd, rather then a chirp, but these tyres are quite grippy too. it used to chirp fine into 2nd and 3rd when it had gemstones on it (hopeless tyres)
true...so it cherps 3rd pretty easy then? i gotta take one of these for a go to see how the standard 355s are.

now with the GT raidials, 245's again, it will just chirp 2nd, and not 3rd now, and its now running better then before, so tyres can have a lot to do with what it will chirp (as in they actually grip)
dunno about a stock 5L chirping 4th, unless maybe its on 205's or something like gemstone tyres?
got a rear garnish which is in very good nick, nothing broken, no cracks or scratches, so it will get painted up green at some stage and put it (the one i have has some cracks, and the normal outside edge bolts snapped off)
What rims are those black ones dude? They look similar to the ones I want eventually
all i can say 205 gemmys on a v8 is a death trap.. no cherping there just powerskid to 4th!

haha, yea, i defintaly didnt feel safe driving on the gemstones, as fun as it was... though they did wear out really quick

been busy
i'm currently trying to work out what to do with this thing though, there is so many different opinions and options out there. it will be getting full seal and gasket kit, and all new bearings.
Gotta decide if i'm gonna build NA or blown...
if i had 15k to get rid of, i'd get a whiple in an instant, but i dont, wanting to go as cheap as i can at this stage (under 5 would be nice), will be looking at pistons, maybe rods, cam (but need to decide blown or not) and then maybe a 2nd hand blower, or 2nd hand manifold, hmmmmmm.......
followed up with a tune.
I will be doing absolutly everything i can by myself, which includes motor assembly, so my costs will be parts, and engine work, such as machining and that.
feel free to give me any suggestions, i'm gonna talk to some engine places and get some ideas.
