New front end nolathane bushes have been installed along with new ferrodo thermo quiet brake pads. some of the rear pads have also been installed just need to replace the upper trailing arm bushes as they are completeley ****ed. but they need to be pressed out a piece of equipment Gilbs and I didnt have.

Thanks Gilbs for the great work. car felt really good to drive and stops in a rush.

We both also found out an easy way to polish the diff. compress a really low set of springs and let the bump stops take care of the rest. LOL.

Seriously what was i thinking when i compressed my springs. and well im used to my ride being heaps bumpy. got new vy ss seats for that. feel sorry for whoever sits in the back however. hehehe no seriously its bumpy.

Its been a while since i was last on here. I was going to say that not much had happened to my car as i hadnt touched until this afternoon when school holidays started. Last time i worked on the car was last school holudays in which case the car got left looking like a piece of shit.
Started body work on the car. Stripped off the bumper stripping around the car and then removed the little strip around the front and rear bumper and filled that iun with sikaflex and then smooth out with a thin skin of bog for a smooth finish. number of panels need to be resprayed cos of little chips and scratches. also filling the crease on the rear panels where the lights and rear quarter panels are for a smooth finish.
Also purchased 4 inch and 3 inch tubing to replace the crap in the bay and will be polished or probly chromed. along with polished water pump cover and chrome pulleys.

Also in the process of choosing a new cam and am looking at designing a new intake manifold which could take some time.
Will post some pics up as work is completed.

Great half way through cutting and polishing my interior by hand. Another half to go, including centre console cd player surround and compartment and glove box. Then I need to tidy up the front and rear bumper and do some other stuff as well, C4C 8 BRING IT ON.

Well these school holidays i managed to get some more work done to my car. Put all the interior back in repainted, sanded smoothed and buffed. Has a super smooth finish looks great I think. Been slowly working on the engine bay.
Dad welded up some 3 and 4 inch tubing to replace the ****ty induction tubing from the CAI to the airbox and intake. Also made up a custom CAI set up similar to the OTR style but locate underneath the radiator. Also custom made strut top covers. This stuff isn't 100% complete. quickly banged it together for C4C7 cruise. Needs to be sanded and polished.
Have also been working on the body a little. Managed to finish filling the strips on the front and rear bumpers with sikaflex. Let them cure and using a sharp blade cut the excess off for a smoother rounded finish. Just need to give it a thin skin of bog and then sand, prime and paint. Here are some pics.

Also car was back on the hoist yesterday with the hole steering rack out and a new one went in. Had a serious probem with power steering leak which turned into a gushing stream all over the engine bay aven after the mechanics put the new rack on yesterday. what a pain in the ass.

Forgot to mention that i had the cat back part of the exhaust system re done into another twin split system done properly this time.
Also had the windows re tinted. there soooo clear.

wow its been a while since i was last on this thread. my bumpers are under colour, but now that im on holidays i can spend more time on them and make looks even better. I have fitted vt gts rims and i think they seem to suit the colour of the car quite nicely.

Finally washed my car and started cutting and buffing by hand. looking shiny now.
Not a lot has happened to my car recently. have done some small things like replaced the upper trailing arm bushes, had the pan hard rod adjusted which is thankfully helping my left rear tyre from being farked again. changed sparks and leads and another dfi module and coils to work out a small issue under load. seems to be fixed now. Also had some earthing issues fixed thanks very much your help gilbert. car running much better.
having the trans serviced and a new deeper pan fitted from a vt auto trans. also having 1.8 ratio rockers and new gaskets fitted this week.
Once i have had my wedding and got back my sanity from it i can save up more money and get my mini spool and 3.89 gears finally fitted. looking forward to it.
Also plan on finsing some vs calais rear lights so i can fit my lip spoiler as well. and also do some body work along the way

Sorry no i havent taken any photos, actually a day later i noticed there was a white haze over the bonnet, not too sure what it is. might take it in to get done one day.
My CAI the actual intake is custom made with the brackets that mount to it to the brce underneath the radiator. then there is a 4 inch tube coming up with a 1/4 of a 4 inch donut that goes into my air box. if that makes any sense, easier to describe when seen in the flesh.

Today had my trans serviced and fitted a brand new larger trans sump from a vt commodore onwards. cleaned up all the mess from a bad leak down there, should have remembered to have taken a photo. ah well.
