Wow now thats a nice looking vs. I can see alot of time and effort has gone into this. I take it those interior parts were smoothed before you painted them? Did you jsut swap the rails over on the vy seats??

    Hey Buddy, thanks for that.
Yes i spent hours sanding the plastic and kind of required new set of fingers as mine were rather worn. Despite that it does look good though. Yeah i had swapped the rails over as the vy rails didn't fit the mounts. However the rails were too short for the chairs and required extension work. Fitting them to the floor was a little of a struggle. bolts wouldn't get back into the nuts. bit of playing around was needed.

Great car I love it. It has a lot of things in common with my own VS, which is probably why I love it so much. Your ride height is perfect, engine looks great, HPC coating is a great move, and the ss seats look tops. The aluminium cover over the radiator shroud is just like one I made for mine, but you've done a much better job of it, nice work! Wheels are nice without being over the top too.

Is the boot lid from a VR so did you fill in the holes from the badge and re-paint it?

Hey buddy thanks for that. Yeah im happy with the car to some extent. The boot is actually just a normal boot. I do have a lip spoiler at home. its painted. when i went to fit, it didn't match up and looked like shit. I 'd like to do some more polishing like the alternator and maybe twin throttle manifold.

One day soon im looking to use a heat gun to help remove the bumper stripping around the car. Then get the car buffed to match the paint. Make for a slightly more smoother body. Have no idea how much the buffing by a professional will cost.

Just a tip for when you get around to tidying up the alternator... Get it ceramic coated and dont try to polish it! I'm not saying that they can't be polished but the shape of the case makes it very VERY difficult to reach in all the gaps and so forth. Many hours involved in polishing one of these so your better off paying the money and having it coated or electroplated and kicking back with a beer while you wait

I dont think you've wasted time on your car. I sometimes feel kind of guilty about all the time and money I've spent on my car when it could have gone into other things, but at the end of the day your doing what makes you happy and you should feel a sense of achievment for all of your hard work. A guy's gotta have a hobby right?

Cheers thanks for the advice. when i looked at it thort that it would be a pain in the ass to polish. thort about getting chromed.
I must admit that im happy with the overall outcome. could be better in places however. I just dont have the money to spend any more. your right it is a fun hobby that at times can get out of hand.
