very nice ute mate, i love the black utes they are always more rare and better looking. I was looking for a black ute when i was buying one but i couldn't find any good ones with low K's. Also them rims are spectacularly clean

Haven't updated in a while, i have good news and bad news.
more bad then good i'm afraid.....
well, first of all just a few small things i have done. i installed some blue dash lights which really look tops compared to the old green ones. some new led parker lights as my cheapo autobarn ones decided to flicker and die. a new interior led light that makes my cab at night lighter then staring at the sun. and of course a nice jc and ktm sticker to neaten up the back.
speaking of the back, stupid me reversed into my girlfriends white fence in the dark denting my tailgate and putting some paint on it. the photos do it lots of justice, in real life it is larger and gnarlier. the worst bit is my tailgate is only a few years old and it was scratchles..... the dent wont be fixed until late this year as i am still saving for my schoolies trip at the end of the year and i literally cannot afford it. oh well, lucky the colour is dark to hide it up.
    here are some pics, enjoy.

Hey Tim where did ya get your Dash lights? Are they ebay ones? They look brighter than mine. Do you find the needles are a little hard to see or not?

Every ute needs a dent in the tailgate, its part of being a ute.
I havent hit anything in mine, yet I still get mysterious dents in my tailgate, its quite amusing

thanks for the feedback my loyal vs friends haha.
i don't feel as bad about the dint after all the stories from your fellas, and as my dad and everyone else has said "it's not a real mans ute until you have a dent", i guess it really is my car now as i have put my own little dint onto it haha.
i love the dash lights thanks for the feedback, i got them off ebay, someone on here recommended them, apparently they spread the light out evenly instead of one blue spot in the middle. the needles are not too hard to see, thinking of making them white in the near future?
the tips are killer too, only 90 bucks to get put on, i had to cut the bumperette thougj, used wire cutters, 15 minute job.
and everyone, JC sticker, invest in one!

nothing much going on with the ute lately due to lack of funds and the fact that i am trying to focus on finishing year 12 not the ute haha.
i plan on doing most of the big things like stereo, gauges and interior mods next year.
here are a few snaps today from the beach, i was down at the beach taking some photos for my year 12 studio arts folio and i saw the ute and couldn't miss the oppportunity to grab some snaps.
i knocked the dent out with some wood and a cloth, i then polished it up. i think it came out bloody great, you can barely notice it even more.
also, the last photo is a photoshop done by the lovely people here on JC of the ute with some interceptors and white wall flappers, considering doing it next year for something different for a little bit, still won't take the 18's off permanently, they just suit it to the bone. opinions?

Interceptors are ugly, no offence to people that like them, but those 18's suit your ute really well Tim, and i would leave them on if i were you.

    thanks for the replies lads.
ChappyVS95: The jc sticker is most definitely worthwhile, not only does it look great but it helps you tell other commy owners on the forum, so far i have seen a grand total of one other commodore with one since i have had mine haha. colour scheme for you is a no brainer mate, red JC and the rest white, exact same as mine, suit your vs to the bone especially as its red.

Hillzzy: your already running ceptors, your half way there haha, i used the ceptors from the brolina for that photoshop, shh don't tell parkwaydrv

Robbo VS3: i can't agree on ceptors being ugly, something about them just appeals to so many commodore owners. As for my ute looking good with the 18's, i have to agree, photos like this show how much they suit her. oh well, maybe no ceptors for me then!
