haha i cheated and got a pro to do it :P think it cost me about $70 though :-/
and the rockers are from a series 1 VN i think as they were alloy, but i got these already polished

Abit of bad luck for me laterly,
2 weeks ago i came off the moto and broke my collabone very nicely so im out of action for at least 7 weeks. Sucks because im stuck at home bored with nothing i can do.
Also was looking at selling the vs and upgrading to something like a vu/vy ss but after countless arguments with the oldies they have stuck to there word and saying no v8 till im off my [P]. Fairenough it sucks but its proberly for the best to be honest haha.
So im looking at going abit further with the vs and keeping it for a while
in photos and such the paint looks clean but in real life its actually pretty horrible due to a dodgey respray before i brough it. I want to look into a full doors closed respray excluding the tray because i wanna buy a tubliner. My cousin is an app sprayer and beater so ill get him to help me with the prep work and just get a shop to spray it for me.
Other plans are:
Tubliner
New cluch going in this weekend hopefully
Spray wheels black or look into some 19'
SS lip and sideskirts and maybe rear infill panel.
Any ideas on prices for the respray and shop reccomended for a cheap but decent job?

whole tailgate needs respraying becuase someone who sprayed it before dosent no how to sand properly

Mate sat on my freshly painted bonnet and put some nice dents in it
Horrible orange peal and the paint has gone a funny colour on the end of both qaurter panels for some reason

I badly wanna see those wheels black so get em powdercoatedand i might add im in the same situation of trying to sell my ute too and looking to buy a vy ss sedan as i got another little brother on the way and need extra seats lol
okay clutch went in no worries over the weekend. went smoothly and stoked its done and out of the way. just stuck with the dual mass flywheel for know as a mates dad hooked me up with one for next to nothing with a clutch.
got my eyes on a vs s pack ute at a mates house, just need the word if he is gonna wreck it or not.
its got mint tubliner wich im most interested in.
If its getting wrecked, try and grab the LSD out of it too, (im presuming you've just got the open wheeler seeing as though it isnt an S-pack)
I thought about that but after taking it for spin I realised its been swapped or just dosent spin doubles anymore.
Changed serpintine belt, idler pulley and rocker cover gaskets yesterday. Also gave the throttle body and plenum a good clean out. There was a large biuld up of oil sludge under the rocker covers. Is this normal?

it is pretty normal for older cars, not necessarily a good thing, but yea its pretty normal bro. just clean that shit out and it will be fine for ages to come.
mate your ute looks tough as on that suspension setup. i'm getting all new suspension gear tomorrow for my VS ute which is i think gonna be a similar hieght to yours, but I'm getting all my gear Lovells, as low as they supply. Should be pretty similar, will update my thread when that gets done
Yeah asked a few people and they all reckon its form delayed oil changes possibly from previous owner because i do mine every 5000km haha
Ripped all the brakes off today and and cleaned and preped the rotors and calipers for re painting, gonna do it properly this time as the paint has started pealing from the last time i painted them. Also changed another wheel bearing and Axel wich was bent so ive know learnt my lesson about wet weather driving haha. Nearly completed my list of mechanical things that need doing but there's only so much you can do with one arm.....ish![]()

air con sprung a leak just under behind the bumper and spat yellow crap every were and air con compressor has decided to stop turning on.
gearbox mount( when i rev up right threw the rev range i get a big vibration around 4,000rpm. cant be engine mounts because i replaced them not long ago so im guessing gearbox mount )
New battery
Still haven't really got quotes for re spray but hopefully i will be getting a healthy tax return wich will cover a good amount of it

that vibration could also be from the clutch if it hasnt been aligned properly.
Wow I forgot about this again aha. Alot has happend since my last post. I've moved out of home got my liscense back and about 3 days ago the Poxy ecotec finally gave in to the p plate treatment. I was driving and over took a bus. Droped back to second and went to third then as soon as I got in front I heard a noise like a tinging noise so I put it in neutral and the motor just stall. Pulled over and it wouldn't even turn over so it's seized haha. She done well. Gave in at 280,000.
We have started pullin it out and my plan is to drop a l67 into herpretty excited but she will be off the road for a whe due to cash-flow

Yes alot had happend since my last update and gave up on her for a while but back in action knowI've sprayed the wheels black and also ss lip Wich needs to be painted. Pulled the old ecotec out the other night and found one of the plugs have been hit probably by the piston or may have droped a valve?? So I'm gonna go right threw the bay and clean and. Polish it up ready for the 67
been doing my research but still alot the find out.
I brought another ute yesterday to swap parts and use as a work cargot it for a steal. Vr manual ute. Runs fine just needed a new water pump Wich I stole off the vs ecotec. It's a bit rough but I'm gonna clean it up and get her back to glory
Did I mention it's still Liscensed and I got it for $500
