My first Car - VS acclaim SII

i just picked up my first car today. its a VS seris 2 acclaim sedan.

I have done nothing to it and it is from what i can see totally stock. and only has 165,000km on the clock.

soon i plan to put a decent stero in it (the current one doesnt work)

put some seat covers or something to cover all the stains.

get a new set of rims

and do something to fix the speedo so that i dont have to give the dash a tap to get it to work everytime i start the car.

It has L plates on because i am going for my P's at the end of june. seeing i turn 20 in november i am aware that i have left it a while to get my license.

i payed 5900 for the car drive away and though i might have been over charged i like my new car.

well it was from a dealer so that price dosnt suprise me. It is an acclaim so thats good. Looks like a good pick up

i took it for a good drive today (western suburbs to the southern suburbs of melbourne). I really enjoyed driving it. heaps better than the elantra i have been learning in, and this can get to 100 easily without me feeling like i have to push it. I know know i want to mod it though so i can find a way of making it more fuel efficent. though i dont think that will be legal when im on my Ps, but i am considering something like a MACE CAI or memcal (they claim its good for reducing fuel usage), i just dont want to make it illegal to drive and then have the insurance company not pay if its in a smash.

that said its now MY car and i cant wait till the end of june when i get my P's
