    Default VS ute 1999

Hey guys, I'm a long-time reader but first time poster to these forums, I bought my VS about a month ago with 195k on the clock for $7000. Its a 1999 series 3 s-pack manual V6. It's my first car and I've had my licence for a month or so lol. I bought it with a flexiglass canopy on it but I took it off and its just sitting in the shed down at the farm... It's got 16" VY alloys and apart from that, its stock as a rock. Really happy with it, it drives so nice so yea its good =)

    Cheers, Dave

Yea as u can see in the pics, I did a bit of stuff to the interior on the weekend, like suede seat covers, blue checkerplate floor mats, new gear knob and steering wheel. The old interior was bog stock (u all know what that looks like lol) so it looks a bit better now. Also I pulled the seats etc out and scrubbed the carpet, dash and door trims so they came up heaps better. It comes with LSD as well so thats a plus, and it had a crappy old stereo system with a 6-stacker that didnt work so I pulled that out and replaced the deck with another oldish kenwood deck but at least this one works lol

another vs ute to add to our tribe, we should actually come together and take over the world/australia's shitty election campaign.
anyways mate, very clean ute, and two thumbs up for manual, same year as mine also.
treat her well and you will love her.
    any plan's for the future?

Ummm yea wouldn't mind dumping it in the near-ish future (superlows maybe) and chuckin some 18's or 19's on it. When funds permit lol I'm a first year apprentice mechanic so I can do the work myself but my wages are pretty horrid =p...

So yea just the basic stuff really you know dont wanna spend my entire pay-packet on it but still make it look hot =)

Might debadge, and get rid of that red s-pack stripe around the body, give it a good touch up etc and yea should be sweet for a while yet.

When I'm off my P's if I'm still into it a few years down the track, a supercharger is a must =D

Is it just me or does this forum have an over abundance/excess of white and VS utes in general.

Just a bit of an update guys, bought a full exhaust (pacemakers, custom Y-pipe, stock cat and single 2.5inch w/ single muffler and twin tip) abd was about to put em on when i noticed my engine mounts have collapsed, andthe pacies wo't fit because of the chassis rail on the left and the steering rack on the right... Also have a split power steering line - no idea how it got there but there was a puddle of PAS fluid underneath it one morning..

So gonna have to redo my engine mounts, get the power steering fixed, fit my exhaust and she should be sweet =) next thing on the agenda is slamming it on its belly haha oh and she's also due for some new tyres soon haha. Odometer as just clicked over 211,000kms, done 16,000k's since i got it in July '10.

Also, got an Aston Martin 6-speed gear knob on it worth $500 which i got for nothing haha pays to work at a Aston Martin dealership =p
