Emir's VS Calais

So heres my endless money pit.

Exhaust: no idea what exhaust it is.

Suspension: some sort of king springs

Interiortock series 1 calais

Stereo: sony headunit and 6x9s

Other Mods: tinted windows, LPG Dual Fuel,





Picked it up October last year, just after i turned 18 with no knowledge of cars or anything got it for $3000, and a month or two later everything started shitting itself, Gas computer, Harmonic balancer, alternator, etc. etc. the list went on, ive finally got the thing stable so i can start working on the outside of it trying to make it look nice.

My licence is suspended at the moment so its given me time to stuff around with it.

The engine is completely stock, and im going to do a backyard re trim of the carpets and dye the door trims,dash and plastics a dark grey black, i find the blue/green colour just shit as.






I did the VY DIY mod on darkening your headlights. heres my result.

yeah i cant stand it, my mates dad has an automotive and marine carpet company and he said he can get me a roll of black carpet with glue, so im hoping he keeps his word on that.

yeah im picking up some dress rings in the next week, and lowering the front tomorrow, do you think the KHFL-47SL's should sit alright at the front?

had a ######## in peak hour infront of me so i pulled into a small gap next to me and then the guy infront of me started merging while i was like next to him so my first response was to accelerate to get infront of him before hed hit me.

and speed camera claims my car went from 55 - 85-90 in no time.

just a month tho and gives me time to save money, and actually get more work done on my car as its just sitting at the bottom of my driveway.

As in it hums when you are near full lock?? Mine did this and since i replaces the strut turns out the strut bearing was totally rooted so that will be it.

mine used to him/groan when your turned it around 70% lock. fixed by adding grease/wd40 to the the grommet where the steering column meets the firewall (inside behind the brake pedal)

it hums fron about 70% and continues humming to full lock its like a long hum, ill try the WD40 trick.

ill suss the strut bearing to. cheers.

Good luck, WD40 fixes it temporarily. It took me a while to actually get it in the right place.
If you spray WD40 in there and that fixes it, id recommend getting some rubber grease in there as well.
I did WD40 and wasted all the rubber grease trying to get it in ahah now mine moans a tiny bit again but cant hear it over exhaust and stereo lol

ill give that a crack tomorrow,

lowered the front today! only one side though, it was so time consuming and hard trying to do it myself.
definetley getting a mate around tomorrow to help. but i threw in the KHFL-47SL and im happy as how its sitting, well atleast on the side i did it on, about 18ml from the ground at the moment, which is keeping it legal. ill get some photos up tomorrow.

i changed it to 3.8 haha how did i stuff that up.

you wont be seeing it for a while its shit itself..... i just put superlows in the front get my licence back on monday and its fried.
+ im going to the footy today, so have to do it all tomorrow hungover.

***UPDATE***
Heres my current checklist.

- Get the car to start DONE!
- Replace fuel pump IN PROGRESS
- Spray Centre caps Black IN PROGRESS
- Fit everything and hope it works

Got some centre caps today for $50 pretty happy with that, they had a few small imperfections but i just sanded them till they were good.

Does anyone by any chance know how the lines from the fuel tank go, because i found one connected to a pipe that wasnt connected to anything, then behind it i found another hose just chilling on my fuel tank. and now im just completely puzzled.
