Cool VS wagon turbo (anyone want it?)

well i had a thread going but since its kinda fallen away from what its title is i thought id start a new one purely to put my progress pics into. so here goes.

VS (lexcen) debadged!! wagon turbo v6 towcar/daily

first photochop of custom front bar

now actually on the car. part lexcen part VZ

first mock up of rear bar. again lower part VZ

havent worked out what im doing with the rear end yet. but here is a pic richies did for me on photshop. this is my overall aim.

and heres how it sits at this point in time.

and today i mounted my little front mount.

and thats where im up to.

i will be rebuilding a VT short block with vs heads+intake. i might clean up the ports im not sure yet. at this point i really couldnt be bothered. but i probably will because im considering modifying the plenum to put the TB On the drivers side to shorten the intake pipes. so if i do that ill get in and polish all the internals and match port it. all im trying to achieve with this engine is low down pulling power. not fussed about top end, thats what the drift car is for.

id love to hear everyones opinion on this project.

the lump on the underside is where i put a slight bend in the pipe that leads into the ex housing.

i had a bit of a play today. since i pulled the orange lens off the tail light the other day i thought id go all the way and pull the other two off also. im thinking along a robotic style with the tail lights. you could almost whisper "cyber" and that could fit the bill. so heres some pics of what i had lying around and my ideas.

    silver first.

    and black

the blue lens is actually supposed to be a front fog light. but iv put a red LED H3 bulb in. and it is actually quite bright.

    just as bright as this.

    opinions?

ha ha, yea it has been a lot of "fun" plenty of choice words thrown at it. considering it was just going to be cleaned up and then re-registered as a daily, it certainly snowballed into a bloody avalanche... ill be posting up new pics of todays fun shortly.

Default progress on the wastegate pipe, wish it were a screamer :(

and got the filter onto the front of the turbo now too. was wondering how in hell i was going to fit a filter in there!! and all i did was chop the convolution off the stock intake pipe and it fits pretty well perfectly behind and under the headlight.

Inspiration. YouTube - LAGWAGN powercruise burnout

VR Berlina Wags with a turbo emotec making a tuned 395rwhp. I think it has run in the high 11's over the 1/4. Complete with bullbar.

@cracker, that red on the turbo isnt staying there. lol. its getting acid dipped soon, then getting done in the black oxide. but its the plastic of the fan shroud im thinking of. will VHT engine enamel stay or not really?

ha ha, unfortunately not. i had been unemployed for 3months, iv been working for three weeks now, so when i finally get payed, and have a bit of time, ill get back into it. its motor is still sitting in my garage waiting for a balancer remover to be purchased before i can continue stripping the old block down. im also going to get my heads rebuilt at my engine machinist. i hate doing heads.... at this point, now i have a good job, i might also consider things like new valvesprings + better valves, maybe a cam to suit the turbo, and a few other bits n pieces that i hadnt considered before just to make that bit more reliable... but to put it simply, i am continuing, its just on hold atm until my bank account is brought back to life!

edit: i might even consider get my plenum ported too soop

Stops crap getting into your oil passages. An oil flish probably will get anything out that got in, but prevention is better than cure.

Nice build btw, a turbo wagon should be a heap of fun. And that front bar could come out pretty nice if you do it right.
