Leave them silver, and centrecaps would look best as is. Painting up stuff like that just makes them look cheap IMO. Even with painting all the small bits and pieces inside ya car, it might look ok when ya paint them. But after a while you'll get scratches and rub marks and they'll look crap. Best leaving that stuff the original colour, so if it scratches or is rubbed against, ya don't notice.

That's just my opinion tho. I too use to do that sort of stuff with my first car.....now I just love the look of a nice clean car with a wild donk!

On another note, I might be getting a VS with a supercharged V6 in it which I'll be looking at flogging off. Let me know if ur keen. Would be a nice motor/trans to chuck in ur car and is a complete car so has everything needed for the conversion.

yeah I somewhat regreted painting them black, looks alright but.. was thinking of just buying some polished wheel nuts
Yeah, I also somewhat agree with the interior.. Painted most it black at first, soon turned ugly for me and then decided to paint it purple to match the exterior. But ahwell it's something different.. Gotta admit it looks better then the black? :P

I think everyone does it with there first car haha.

If I get it I'd prolly be looking to sell it for $2500. Might be going to look at it next week, not sure yet. Only getting it and selling it coz someone who is keen on my VR wants to swap a VP and VS for it, which I have no use for, just need the cash to finish a motor.

Just a message: Get yo nuts checked, you'll never know what you'd find.
I've fixed two problems with my car by tightening nuts/bolts.
Engine had a ticking - suspected cracked exhaust, Just the nuts were loose
Starter motor didnt attempt to crank only click click click - suspected bad starter, Just the nuts were loose.
Has a stronger start now..

Anywho.

Well had a somewhat productive day.
Finally got a replacement for my HVAC unit, clips and what were broken.
Fixed the blown the bulbs I had.

Also got myself calais maplights, as much as I didn't want to cut the roofliner I had no choice. No turning back now.


Obsession with taking photos...


Oh and I got myself a new Exhaust tip.

Not many updates; But hopefully all the faults of my car is fixed up.
Got myself a good secondhand Air compressor; went to get it regassed and bad news. He said the gas was leaking out as fast as he was putting them in, suggest condensor and drier. Waiting for wreckers to be able to take the parts I need off a car, so hopefully working aircon within the next week.
Painted the '3800' purple, looks better IMO.
Added a couple of stickers (instant 50hp ea sticker) - Apple sticker and lukey sticker.
Modified my Bellmouth.. (awesome intake noise I think)

and scored myself a custom centre console. has drink holders

Secondhand Condensor fitted, secondhand air con pipe from firewall to condensor fitted with new O-rings.. Now hopefully it just needs regassing and I have a freezing air con!

And got myself a Cold Air Intake. Vroom Vroom Havn't noticed much difference yet.

I dont dig the purple wipers either, but I would suggest painting them a deeper purple and doing other parts like door handles deep purple too.

Nah, I soon got rid of them.. Really need to repaint them again.. Our pressure washer just ate the paint haha. The interior? I'm thinking of getting a metallic purple and redoing it all.. The paint I used (plum purple) is actually darker then my car colour

Nah I just meant the outside ones, I only suggested it because you cant just throw some random colour on your wipers and no where else or it will look odd. Seeing as your painting you interior Metallic purple then painting your wipers the same colour would be cool, but im not sure how well metalic paint will go with non metallic? IDK but the interior painted deep metallic purple IMO would look great.

Oh yep. Yeah the first day of having them painted.. I hated it haha.
I'll keep the Wipers as black, Suits best IMO.

i agree with whoever said to do a lvl 3 dash cluster. i have just done mine yesterday and it looks awesome. not that hard to do if you follow the tripin thread. as simple as connecting 9 wires to your old loom and putting one in from the passanger side kick pannel. then you can back light it with leds and imo i think it would look sick as.

Yeah, I somewhat want to do it. My mates done it to his and its awesome. He offered me a pre-made loom that he made up. but I'll need to get the cluster aswell.. Maybe one day

hell i picked up a vr v6 cluster for 50 including postage. best score of my life i think lol. and the awesome thing is that its only just ticked over 226000kms on the digital readout lol. if you can get a ready made loom, do it. all you need to do is take your old one out and put your new one in. its an hours job max and thats being generous. lol
