This is my Auto 1994 VR exec, my dads mate pretty much just gave me the keys and said she's all yours. Although it had been sitting in his backyard for around 6 months or so, enough time to have grass growing through the engine bay and out the bonnet. My old man restores and pimps old chevs so he gave me a massive hand. The first thing i did was write a list of things she needed just to get her going lol. Then I give her a good clean in and out then cut and polish.

pics uploaded
get rid of them chev badges A.S.A.P.
The chev badges are ridiculous mate, the front one isn't even close to being in the right position.
Apart from that, looks fairly clean
Chev badges can look good in grills on cars with V8's. Not on bonnets on V6's. Sorry mate but to be straight, they look shithouse and i'd laugh if I drove past you.
I think the second picture looks best.
Yeah lose the chev badges, IMO it's ruining a clean ride, makes no sense seeing as the engine is a buick, but i'd run the holden badges or none at all.
A nice set of rims, painted rear garnish + door handles and removing/painting the bumper+trolley strips will really set the car off i reckon.
was just a little bored one day, so i made them. will take your advice![]()

Can't say i'm a fan of the chev badges, the bonnet one looks fairly high too, but that could just be the picture.
Other then that, real clean car mate, what's next on the list of to do's?
I think im just going to keep it clean and sweet, im on my red Ps so i cant really do that much more to the performance (without upsetting the pigs)
Just planning on buying a V8 or forced induction as soon as i get my blacks![]()
whatevs buddy

Looks pretty clean. Chev badge was a bad idea lol. Neon's are...interesting haha.
I'm keen to know more about the bonnet too.
I had to choose something for my HSC major design project so i decided to do a bonnet for the VR. I picked up a second hand bonnet from the wreckers for $80. The bonnet I got from the wreckers was red, so i stripped back the paint and went to town with an angle grinder. I copied the style of the new clubbys and changed a couple of angles. I cut out the templates for the scoops out of sheet metal and braised them in, using oxy. I used body filler and fibreglass to shape the scoops, sanding them after every go. Doing this many times to get them perfect. Once i was satisfied with the bonnet, it was ready for paint. I got the paint from my local auto paint store. I got the paint colour matched to alaskan white for $40 for 1 litre. I first sprayed the bonnet with primer, then three coats of white.
All up the bonnet cost me around the $280 mark. (not including all the tools and painting gear, I already had)

I'm liking this, considering taking the black strip off my white VR too and also badging it. Looks really clean, good work!
