thanks mate, I will probably get a hardlid in the next few months, the cost heaps though
ive seen this around melb, looks clean mate. needs that 5L dropped in.
nice clean ute you have there i have one pretty much the same but needs a few things done to it. mines white but thinking of a paint ever white or black
i was looking at yours it has an S near back wheel mine is the series 3 S as well but dont have the S.
my first car is a holden and i will die with a holden

ahh thanks jonko, their a great car the vs utes, you should leave it white as their easy to keep clean. I put the S sticker on there a while ago, they were on both sides but one fell off and i need to pull that one off aswell. They have em at rare spares as SS commodore just cut one S off
saw a ute the same as yours today on the freeway... series 3, white, had sports bars though and was a V8... and only had commodore S stickers like yours... not SS
Bit of an update... last week i acquired some ssl springs for the rear and I thought I might give them a try
However I took them out because they were way to low and it was not practical at all

Yeah take em out...especially if your not doing the fronts and particularly not if your not doing appropriate shocks to match
Were you at the Port Melb meet without your ute? Think I had a chat to you about your engine transplant.
How much is it costing you if you don't mind me askign.
hey tim, yes i was at the port Melb meet but i was with Brinsley, the engine conversion so far has cost me about 1500, engine, loom, auto trans, and accessories. I'm just about to get it refreshed (matter of weeks) eg gaskets, pistons, rings bearings etc, I'm not after lots of power, that will cost around 2500
loving the look of this car.
nothing is better then seeing a p plater make a car just look nice and clean and not overdoing everything.
cant wait to hear how the motorswap goes aswell.
keep up the good work
thanks drawnnite i love the shape of the vs's and ive spent a fair bit on it and will continue to do so, i will post some updates of the engine conversion when its been rebuilt
I had a look at the ss skirts but i want to keep it simple, i will eventually get a slimline hardlid but thats about as far as I'm planning to go with the exterior
Hey mate.
Do you mind PM me the fine details of your engine conversion?
As in what parts you need and the price of each?
I want a rough outline so I can see if I want to do it for my ute in the future.
Saw this thing at C4C. Looks good as. Specially with the hardlid.
ahh cheers thanks man, i needa do some updates of the lid n wheels, i remember talking to you at c4c
Got some flicks of my vs and brinz's calais, I've got my ss bar front bar but didn't get any of the hard lid, it got dark quickly so their not the greatest

Ute looks mint mate.
Gotta cut those tonneau hooks off though!
Been busy over the past weekend, I bought a ve 343 brake upgrade, cost about 800 and that included braided lines and cross drilling, also rebuilt my rear callipers and bought some new rear discs handbrake shoes and bump stops. The only issue I have now is I still have the vs booster its just not enough the pedal is very soft, so I think the 1 inch master and vt booster is a must.

Bled them correctly. Made sure there on right?
Heard the VS booster is fine. Just the left goes on the right and right on left..
Looks mint!
Na because it's a six u need to upgrade to the bigger booster etc. I have ve brakes on my ute and peddal is fine! But it's a v8 so has one inch master cylinder
MUNCH MUNCH LS1 4 LUNCH
yeah they have been bled correctly but haven't had a chance to be bedded in properly yet, I've got a 1 inch master lined up and waiting on a vt booster so that should make a big difference
