also did you have trouble replacing the climate control from the stock knob system it all works ok? must have taken ages to put all the sensors in? would you recomend doing it?

Cheers mate Nope, the seats are completely different, and require ALOT of modification (Only seen it done once, and that place will no longer do them ) I've managed to find someone thats willing to give it a go tho

No no trouble at all, as all of the wiring in the car has been changed to caprice. 90% of the accessories and wiring in the car (including BCM) are caprice, so climate worked with no problems. Yep, it did take a while. Took 8 days (spread over 4 weekends) to get my original interior out, engine out, re-wire the complete car, "new" supercharged engine in, new interior in, and work out some minor issues.

Climate alone can cost easily $1k for all the parts 2nd hand, plus hours of labour to fit, so i guess it depends if you have the skills to do it, and can find the parts cheaply (and really want it) If your not worried about cost go for it!

hey sounds nice, and about rear seats i had a vl v8 le sedan and got a stock vl wagon and put the le interior in it and the rear seats only the bottom of it fits as the back flips forward for a wagon and are totally different, you might have to get it retrimmed or leave it stock with the bottom bit where you sit senitor leather trim, my 2 cents lol

Just personal reasons, and to kind of get it out of the "spotlight" so to speak.

It was written off. The previous owner had an accident in it. The complete left hand side of the car at the front was a mess, the chasis was twisted so the doors no longer lined up, and the back left hand quarter panel also took a hit.

all i can say is go the wagons! the car sounds like itll be awesome when its done mate, cant wait to see the finished product. ill post a pic of my vp wagon soon, nothin really special yet, jus really low.

Pics will come when more of the car is done... as it currently stands quite a bit of the interior is out (making way for the huge stereo install, and re-doing part of the airbag setup)

I'll see if i get a chance to take some pics, if not, then i should have some pretty soon anyway!
