Pulled the orange side indicators out yesterday, replaced them with the clear ones. Looking a bit different now :P

Snapped one of the old clips when ripping the orange ones out, just a word of warning if anyone decides to swap their indicators like I did, if they're quite old then the plastic may be brittle and snap which is what happened to me

What it's supposed to look like:

Also I have a loud whirring noise from the back left that sounds a lot like tyre noise but 10x louder, I assume that it may be a wheel bearing gone as it disappears when I turn left hand corners and the weight of the car shifts to the right wheel.

I put the car up on jacks to sus it out and found that both inner CV boots are split not a good thing when rego is coming up next month...

I assume that it happened because the rubber looks and feels quite old, so will probably get around to replacing these very soon.

Today (with the help of the boss), I did some panel beating - fixed up a dent in the rear quarter panel and a crack in the bumper.

Car is chillin' with primer patches on the back left now haha. But so glad to see the dent and crack gone.

Most of today was just body work - the whole panels/bumper will be stripped back and resprayed with nice shiny new paint soon

    Before:

After knocking out the dent, smoothing and sanding:

    After primer/how she looks now:

Thanks man, yeah I can get brand new replacement CV boots from eBay for like $20 each but I think I might just go ahead and replace the whole shafts, hopefully have a crack at removing that loud noise :l CV shaft assembilies go for about $120 each... x2 = $240, a price worth paying if they are screwed lol.

PM coming your way soon bro. Don't even care that my car has patches of primer lmao.

Thanks man just sussed out your Calais, I love the SS kit on it. Something I was looking at getting for mine in the future sometime haha :P

This year, I'm gonna try get around to having the other 2 small ones knocked out. Got the smallest dimple in the drivers door and a small one on the bonnet, should be able to get it done through paintless dent removal I hope

Just pissed me off how one side was straight and the other with that ugly dent in the back had to do something about it lol

Will be sweet once you get her all straightened out really like the colour man..

Curious about the cracked bumper, how big is the crack etc.. if its possible, could you post some before and afters of the bumper as well

Is your sun roof electric or pop up?

Yeah man I cant wait to clean it up more :P theres like 2 or 3 little dimples to sort out then it'll be straight as and thanks man, heaps of people compliment me about the colour! Funny cause I originally wanted white haha, but its grown on me :P

Here's some pics of the bumper before and after repairing it, the bumper was completely split (about a 5cm crack) in the top lip on the left hand side corner of the bumper.

After bonding the crack back together and reinforcing, bog and sand to get it straight:

    After primer:

All it needs now is a nice coat of paint :P let me know if you have any other questions man I'll be happy to answer them

Btw, sunroof is HBD (Holden By Design) factory electric slide/tilt

And yeah, go nuts man, I had a suss of your thread before and you have a mad car for a project! Mine needed a little work too when I picked it up (and still does here and there) but if you spend some time (and money of course lol) it'll start to come together nicely

Will be keeping an eye on your 'lais too
