looks like a nice ute, but no way is it making 255rwkw as a standard stroke 5lt and not to mention the standard manifold. think you might mean 155rwkw

im pretty sure them 5 litres come standard with 185 kw and in kw 255hp is converted to 190kw anyway i wanna do some more mods to get it up a bit more but not sure what yet any ideas?

I had mine dyno'd and it was only 132 rwkw.. I was Devo about it....

I hate to be a prick but I see no Abs????? meaning not a ss!!!
Also the ss was a 165 kw option out of the box! Nothing diff to standard, the hsv ran a knock sensor and diff chip etc to make 185. However all this is void considering you are running a cam etc. Bit more than 165 I would think

they only made 2000 v8 models in the olympic editoin and the ss and the standard and s pac utes that were made in 2000 were v6 so mine is either a ss or olympic edition

all the 5 litres on the vs are 185 kw its in the manual

I think u should do your research mate!!!! In black and white in Max Ellery"s book it states the Vs ute as a 165kw engine. Only hsv were 185!
The biggest power Vs v8 was the black option (cold air intake)and it made 168kw. Google it....read a book or something.
What u have is an Olympic edition ute ....nice. But no ss
U don't have side skirts(ss) or the ss decals in front of rear wheel arch!

the vt 5 litres were 179kw and that is the engine that is in my ute

Correct lol was about to adjust last post as realized u had the vt roller block motor made 180 in the series one. But as stated that's not a Vs motor it's listed as a vt motor.
It has the wrong covers on it as they are vn-Vs covers. Was not until I noticed the air flow meter that realized it was a vt motor

Also no such thing as a 2000 model ss they made them in 98/99. They were limited edition, even when listed with insurance it comes up as le Vs ute.
The vu was the first ute to have the ss in it's standard range.

i thought it was a ss because it has ss seats in it still happy bout it being the olympic editoin though i like the vn vs covers better it did have the vt one on there the previous owner couldnt find it when i bought it sorry bout the confusion mate had a look at the vn vs model and it is 165kw lol

Just since I got my ss have done a lot of research as got my one by mistake(was advertised as a blue Vs v8 ute lol) back then I didn't even know there was such thing as ss ute lol.

future mods: manual gearbox, maybe twin turbo or super charger new front bar fibreglass maybe sports bar for the back and some new wheels

Na mate just the sift cover with the holes in it for bars to go thru! All ss utes came with them. Holden product not after market
